A Texas Parole Officer who had pled guilty last August was sentenced to eighteen months. Investigators alleged that the Houston parole officer had received payoffs in exchange for lax over site which enabled parolees to continue in drug trafficking and distribution. U.S. District Judge Lee H. Rosenthal heard arguments from the attorneys and sentence the Parole Officer to 18 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release. She was allowed to say on bond and surrender to a Prison facility to be determined shortly.
