Q
Texas Parole Lawyer - What is the Maximum Sentence Date?

A

If you do an offender search on TDCJ's website you will be given a Parole Eligibility Date, a Projected Release Date and a Maximum Sentence Date.  The Maximum Sentence Date is the date on which the offender will have served every day of their sentence.  For example if an offender was sentenced to five years the Maximum Sentence Date will be calculated by determining the date on which the offender has credit for five years.  It does not include good time or work credits.

Most offenders do not serve the entire sentence and are paroled before that date is reached.  If you or someone you know is incarcerated in a Texas Prison and you would like information regarding parole and what you can do to help them obtain parole please call us on our toll free number 888-661-5030 or fill out an online contact form and an attorney will call you shortly.  Our offices are in Houston and our parole practice takes us to parole boards and prison units across Texas.  We have represented offenders from Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, McAllen, Houston, Galveston and numerous other cities across the State.
